Meredith Haute is a self-taught painter with a lifelong passion for creativity. She uses multiple mediums, layers and textures in her process to symbolize the many different parts of our own individual worlds. She often uses her own hands in lieu of brushes to feel and move the paints and inks across the canvas where she wants them to go. She refuses to subscribe to the idea that one artist’s work must all look the same…using different genres of art to create, always telling a story with every piece. Some playful and fun, some edgy, some serious. All with (sometimes hidden) meaning.
Meredith mixes the gritty-edged tones from a New York upbringing with the bursting tropical colors of life in sunny South Florida, aiming to create a blend of both soft and strong, delicate and bold, muted and vibrant. Northern, foundational, neutral hues juxtapose vivid, sultry and lush pops of color. She aims to evoke emotion, hoping the viewer will find a new detail every time a piece is freshly seen. An avid nature lover, she often uses recycled materials to be kinder to our planet. Meredith’s sunny, music-filled studio is five minutes from the ocean in east Boca Raton, Florida where she originates artworks for clients worldwide. She has been creating in multiple formats since the age of three.
